«If we opened people up, we’d find landscapes»
Personal work for Breaking the Pattern’s project, an exhibition of Irish and Spanish artists held in Sevilla.
The work was inspired by this quote by Nouvelle Vague’s director Agnès Varda:
“If we opened people up, we’d find landscapes.”
For me, this landscape relates to the views we saw as children, which I think in some way shaped our character.
It is also the place where our mind takes a walk when we are not really thinking about anything and our eyes wander around the space in front of us. That’s what we are seeking for and looking at: that light, that sky and that sunset.
